Ninjas are wild

We celebrated a birthday just a few days ago. N turned 7 on Sunday and part of his birthday present was this ninja shirt.

Now, N is really all boy. He’s very active and loves roughhousing with his older brother. So when I came across this fabric from Riley Blake, I though it’d be perfect for him. I like the contrast sleeves so I used a white cotton interlock I had in my stash. The ninja fabric feels really nice and soft.

The pattern is Oliver and S’ Field Trip raglan.  I’d bought the pattern for the cargo pants, but I’m happy to be able to use the t-shirt pattern. And I just like raglan tees. They are so easy to sew! I shortened the sleeves to make the t-shirt more suitable for our weather.

I’d made some effort to hide the fabric from him, but not well enough, since he spied it and asked excitedly if it was for him. He says it’s his new favorite so it’s a win.
