A Hide-and-Seek tunic

A couple of weeks ago, we brought the kids out to catch Cavalia, which was really spectacular incidentally. But what it revealed was that my older daughter, E, does not have enough dressy outfits! She refuses any and all dresses, so this tunic is my effort to boost her dressy options.

The pattern is the tunic length version of Oliver+S Hide and Seek dress. This is a size 7 with the length of a size 8 for my eight-year-old. I left off the front notch, but added a line of piping across the bottom of the front and back yokes. (Just because I had the piping out already!) The fabric is from The Ladies’ Stitching Club; it’s been in the stash a while.

Plastic faux mother of pearl buttons for the back.

E’s reaction to the tunic was, well, lukewarm. I’m not sure how much this will get worn, but at least I enjoyed the process making it!
