Sewaholic Belcarra blouse
My first Sewaholic pattern – because they now have PDFs!
I couldn’t quite resist this pattern. I’m always on the lookout for simple, comfortable tops that are easy to wear and this seemed to fit the bill. It’s a little more than just a plain woven tee. I especially like the version with the little pintucks on the raglan sleeves. It adds an interesting twist to what might otherwise be quite a simple top.
The fabric is Robert Kaufman’s slub chambray in indigo. I love this fabric and have been hoarding it.
Unfortunately, I’m not sure if I will make up this pattern again. The shoulders are too wide, and even though I modified the pattern to bring them in half an inch, they still seem too wide for me.
Gorgeous!
Thanks! š
That looks lovely on you, I love the fit. I think you’re right about the shoulders but it’s hardly noticeable, especially with the focal point as a nice necklace. But now that you know your way around the pattern, you can redesign it just for you. I wouldn’t give up on this one, it’s a great style for you. Have fun!
Thanks for your comment! I think you’ve convinced to give this at least one more try!
I think it really suits you š
Thanks, Ruth!
