Banana cake

I lost the baking bug for quite a while! With the hot weather, I just couldn’t get around to turning the oven on the kitchen. Still, I’ve had this recipe linked for a while, so when I had to prepare some desserts last week, it seemed like the perfect time to give the recipe a go.

I made just a couple of small changes to the recipe: I reduced the amount of cinnamon powder and added a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the batter before baking. I also greased and floured the cake tin because mine wasn’t a non- stick one. The cake turned out to have just the right amount of sweetness for our palates.

It’s a do-again recipe! My kids loved it and so did our guests – it was all gone by the end of the night!
